Unleash Creativity with Soft,Moldable Fun
As I have already mentioned, you can make playdough in Thermomix only from food ingredients, so if your child is not allergic to gluten, they can enjoy making playdough.
Making playdough in Thermomix is fun for our children, and what’s more, you can help your child make it from scratch. If you are making this with your child, take extra care when adding the food coloring to avoid stains on clothes.
For each color, prepare:
- 50g of wheat flour
- 24g of salt
- 5g sunflower oil (or other cooking oil)
- A pinch of citric acid
- Food coloring
- 30g of hot water
Making playdough in Thermomix
- Dissolve the dye in hot water
- Pour the water with the dye into the Thermomix
- Add the rest of the ingredients
- Mix for 3 minutes, on kneading mode (interval)
Of course, you can increase the amount of ingredients if you would like to make more, just remember to keep the same proportions.
If you use too much flour and your playdough turns out to be too brittle, add a little water and set to kneading more for an additional 1 minute. If the dough is too loose and gooey, add a little flour and kneed it for another minute.
Store the dough in a sealed container. As it is made of natural ingredients and contains no preservatives, it is not very durable. To prolong its life, keep it in the refrigerator and check if it’s still usable before each playtime.
