Revitalize Your Skin with Nature’s Finest Exfoliant

I would recommend nutshell peeling as a body cosmetic rather than for the face. The face is very delicate and walnut shell particles can have sharp edges when not ground well enough. So if you are going to use this scrub on your face, make sure you grind the husks thoroughly, almost to dust (just grind longer).

To make this peeling scrub we add:

  • Honey – which soothes, nourishes, and regenerates the skin
  • Coconut oil – exfoliating the skin and wonderfully moisturizing it

We can add orange peel for the aroma, as the orange peel looks not only beautiful but also has a festive fragrance. Orange peel contains vitamin C, which has an anti-wrinkle effect, and calcium influences the reconstruction of the epidermis. It also brightens the skin and evens out discoloration.

Ingredients

  • Walnut shells 30g
  • The peel of the whole orange (washed with hot water before)
  • 2-3 teaspoons of honey
  • 5 tablespoons of coconut oil

Preparation

  • Wash the husks and dry them
  • Put the nut shells into a dry mixing bowl. Cover the lid. Set to 1 min on speed 10 (every 20 seconds open and use the spatula to scrape particles off the walls)
  • Open the mixing bowl and add the orange peel. Set to 1 minute on speed 8 (every 20 seconds open and use the spatula to scrape particles off the walls)
  • If necessary – repeat the previous steps to achieve your desired consistency
  • Add coconut oil and honey, set to 1 minute on speed 5
  • Repeat the steps if necessary to achieve your desired consistency

Transfer your peeling scrub a sterilized jar and label it with the date it was made. A peel like this should last 1 month.
